Circulators
An optical circulator is constructed to pass light from one optical fiber to another. It is a non-reciprocal device that routes light according to the direction of light propagation. Both the optical circulator and the optical isolator can be used to advance light.
However, there is usually more light energy loss in the optical isolator than in the optical circulator. The optical circulator generally consists of three ports: two ports are used as input ports and one port as output port.
